hoho~

That's my new favourite word. Hoho~ With the squiggle at the end. Like this~ Yeah~

Hoho~

Anyways, today was the first day of school. Had 2 classes, Modern Japanese Literature in Translation, and Gender Studies. Glad, 'cause both modules seem interesting, and have good English-speaking lecturers hoho~ =D

And happily, Svan and aya-chan are in my Translations class, Andrea is in my Gender class, and Dimi is in my Japanese class. Yay!! ^^

Speaking of Japanese class, there's first lesson tomorrow, where they will give us a QUIZ!! *gasp* Nooooo~ 不要!!!!! =( *protests* And the class arrangements are so strange too. Last sem, there were about 20 students in 4 classes, which is around 80 people in total. But this sem, there are classes from 3A all the way to 3T, meaning that there are like at least 22 classes for the 80 of us? That's like 3.6 people in each class laa, unless SILS suddenly decides to import like 400+ new students from somewhere... I'm guessing it'll be like at most 7 people in each class lorr. Strange!! Will see tomorrow...

Hoho~ My sem this time is really really slack. I have no classes on Thursday and Friday, so technically I'll be having a loooong weekend EVERY WEEK hoho~~ But sad, got Japanese class on Saturday URGH!!! So irritating!!

Went to SILS office this afternoon just now, and saw this!!

Haha I was so shocked I just picked it up and showed it off to everyone "HEY THIS IS FROM SINGAPORE!!!!" Haha patriotic. =P

Saw this selling in school today. White cola?? Tried it, and it tasted... hmm... Funny. =P

Argh die it's so late I better go and bathe. Have class from 9am tomorrow ahh! K ciao!!~

IT'S ME!!!~~

Quote Sanji, in One Piece episode 391.

OMG I just LAUGHED damn loudly in the middle of the night aka 3.30am. It's so funny oh man!! XD

Gosh, I miss watching One Piece. Yeah, I haven't been having my daily dose ever since the start of exams last sem (nearly 2 months ago), so I haven't actually finished watching the series yet. =P

After One Piece, I'm going to go on an anime break and watch K-drama. I swear, they are getting so so much better nowadays. Older K-dramas, like Stairway to Heaven, just make me cringe from all the crying and sorrow. Seriously, surely nobody in this world can be as unlucky as that female lead in that show..

SG's connection sucks though. An anime episode which takes no longer than 5 seconds to load in Japan takes up to 10+ minutes here. Oh well, good things are worth waiting for~ =)

シンガポールガール

LOL, been too caught up lately, what with coming home and meeting up with people and whatnot, so haven't really come here to blog.

Anyways, here I am. Back home!! ^^ Feels great to be back, actually, but you know, after I got back home and the entire family was going out to have dinner again, I had this strange feeling, as if I'd never left at all. So weird right? Like, you would have expected half a year spent in a foreign country to at least change me a little.

Well, I guess I have been changed in some subtle ways. Like how I try to layer my clothes to give them more texture and volume, and how I do make-up everytime I leave the house, even how I can sit in front of the mirror for close to an hour fixing my hair. And when I veg out in front of the TV watching a programme in Japanese, I find the subtitles seriously annoying, when I used to rely on them to even understand a word of what they're trying to say. And how some Japanes phrases tend to slip into my everyday language, and how my English is apparently deteriorating to the point of no return, according to my best friends. =P

But yeah, aside from all that, I'm quite quintissentially Singaporean. A tropics girl. Grows best in sunshine near the sea. Not to say that I felt completely uprooted and alien when in Japan, in fact it's quite the opposite. I felt like I've adapted to life there quite well, and if asked to imagine myself living out the rest of my life there, I won't have any difficulties. Except maybe the problem of language, but that can always be breached by practice and hard work. But yeah, I'm still an SG girl inside. Maybe it's because all my family and friends are here, or more like it's because I'm so suited to the hectic study-is-all lifestyle here, or maybe it's just because SG guys are still my cup of tea MUAHAHAHAH!!

Yeah, I do think SG guys are, on average, better-looking than their にほん counterparts. I mean, the latter definitely know how to dress and groom better, compared to them the local boys look like they've just spent a week living homeless on the streets. But yeah, beneath all the decorations and frills, I personally find Singaporean boys much more pleasing to look at. Hoho~ Well, of course there are exceptions; there will always be a handful of Japanese guys who are just perfectly awesomely handsome, but ain't that the case all over the world? Anyway, all those who are really worth looking at, you can already see them on TV as celebrities, so you're not missing out on much, really. =)

So, been home for about 5 days now, and all I've been doing is going out with some friends, vegging out in front of the TV (gosh how I missed that!!), finally getting to read the last 2 books of Stephen King's Dark Tower series, and sleeping >12 hours a day. And gorging myself on local fare, of course. Man, chicken rice never tasted so good lol!! So far, I've had chicken rice, satay, cha kuay teow, carrot cake, tau huey, pearly soya, bubble tea, bakkwa and blessed homecooked food. What's left will be hokkein mee, yong tau foo, and icy cold desserts. And maybe some more I haven't thought about yet. Heehee~ So exciting to just think about food. Over there in Japan, it's been all pasta, ramen, udon, gyoza, and bento, over and over again. Quite a variety too, I guess, but not all crazy and delicious as SG's. XD

Alright, it's 12:30am now, should be getting into bed and reading myself to sleep. Man, I looooooove being a lazy-ass pig at home. =)

ps: I'll be missing One Piece on TV tomorrow morning though, saaaaaddd. I wonder if Luffy will start chasing Ace to Marineford already. I forgot where the last episode ended off..

So excitings!! Especially the additional news. If you get the First Press edition of the CD+DVD, you get a free 36-page photobook shot in London, and a chance to win a sheet of handwritten lyrics from ayu-chan!! Super rare!! There are only 12 sheets of those lyrics hidden inside 400k First Press albums!! I really really hope I'll be 超超ラッキー~~~

And since I bought AT2009 DVD as well from TA's official mu-mo site, I'll be getting an official handphone stand, an official pencilcase, and 2 B2 posters of different designs as well. Not bad, they're really loading up on the free goodies this time. XD

Anyways, there goes the rest of my money for this month. Good thing I saved up quite a bit since last month~~

OK, off to eat dinner!! Shall finish my 3 slices of 面包. As my Daddy loves to tell me, I eat bread to save up so I can buy ayu-chan's releases so she can go eat gourmet. LOL!! Oh wells. *shrug* Ciaos~~~

huh?

I totally don't understand the latest e-mail sent out by NUS Campus Security. The one about dirty water? How can people get tricked?? A random stranger come and ask you to refill your water bottle then you just go and refill ar? Better, leave all your belongings with the stranger somemore.

*shakes head*

Behind in my blog posting about Odaiba on Saturday lol. Will get to it soon. =P

ps: Haha you found me~ See, I told you it was easy right, if you know me enough. =)
